2.) Do we really need all the pomp and circumstance that events such as the NBA All Star Game and Super Bowl provide? Maybe I am getting old, but I just want to watch the game.
3.) For any race fans we may have: A chuck hole in the track at the Daytona 500 with cars traveling in excess of 190mph, this can't be good.

Tiger will comment only on Friday. He will not take questions so not sure exactly how much he will say. I hope he returns to golf next week! its just better with Tiger in the field.
ReplyDeleteI just want to watch the game when it comes to the Super Bowl, but I actually enjoy all-star weekend. This year's dunk contest was very weak but the past few years it has been good and I enjoyed the rookie vs. sophomore game as well. By the way, why did Lebron back out of the dunk contest?
As far as the hole in the track, that was absurd. It does show how amazing of drivers these guys are that at 200mph they dont lose control when going over a hole in the track. They said that Daytona has already been scheduled to be re-paved next year so we will see. It was awesome to see Dale Jr. come from 10 cars back to finish 2nd with only 2 laps to do it in. Reminded me of his Daddy, he used to do that kind of thing all the time. Dale Sr's. death is still a national day of mourning down here in the dirty south! Also Danica was impressive in her nascar debut, which will bring a lot of fans in if she just hangs around in races.
Thanks Pex. As far as All-Star weekend I was more or less refering to all the other hoopla. Players coming out of the floor on hydraulics to be announced, then announced again, excessive music, ect. It must have taken 15-20 minutes just to introduce the players.
